Bitter leaf juice: 1 Effective Home Remedy for Insomnia.

Bitter leaf juice may just be the remedy for the insomnia you are experiencing, if you do not mind the bitter taste.

Most people use bitter leaf as a vegetable. But then they squeeze out most of the juice when preparing the vegetable soup.

And that is the most important part of the vegetable, the Juice.

But as we increase in age, adults may need less sleep

According to Merck Manual, Insomnia is trouble falling asleep, trouble staying asleep, or getting poor-quality sleep. When your sleep is of poor quality you don’t feel refreshed in the morning.

  1. Going to bed and getting up at the same time every day (even on weekends)
  2. Having a bedtime routine
  3. Keeping your bedroom dark and quiet
  4. Spending time in bright light during the day
  5. Getting regular exercise.
  6. Avoiding daytime naps (these can make it harder to fall asleep at night)
  7. Limiting alcohol and caffeine and avoiding eating a lot before going to bed.
  8. Using prescription drugs.
  9. Herbal remedies.


Insomnia significantly affects the quality of life of affected individuals, and is a public health issue, with serious health and economic consequences. While medicine can reduce the severity and frequency of insomnia, it does not offer a cure.

For anyone suffering lack of sleep that does not any underlying disease condition, Bitter leaf is an effective remedy.


Simply squeeze or blend fresh bitter leaf in water and take 1 – 2 glasses of Bitter leaf solution every night, it helps in calming the nerves. Alternatively, you can chew 4 – 5 leaves at night.
